Bass club begins sixth season

The Poorman's Bass Club has announced its schedule of events for the 2003 season.

The club will kick off its sixth season with an open tournament on April 5 at the Wax Boat Dock, on Nolin Lake from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Other open tournaments will include a June 18 tournament at Lake Malone and an Aug. 9 event at Rough River.

This year's two-day Classic Tournament will be held Sept. 20 at Rough River and Sept. 21 at Nolin Lake. Anglers must have fished in at least eight regular season events to be eligible for the Classic.

The regular season tournament schedule is as follows:

  • Apr. 10 at Rough River from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

  • Apr. 24 at Nolin Lake from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

  • May 8 at Rough River from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

  • May 22 at Nolin Lake from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

  • June 5 at Rough River from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

  • June 19 at Nolin Lake from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

  • July 3 at Rough River from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

  • July 17 at Nolin Lake from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

  • July 31 at Rough River from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

  • Aug. 14 at Nolin Lake from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

  • Aug 28 at Rough River from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

  • Sept. 11 at Nolin Lake from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

    Last years Classic winners were Nicky Galloway and Sonny Mason and the Anglers of the year were Kevin Meredith and Mike Kiper.
