Detention center inmate takes a walk

An inmate walked away from the Grayson County Detention Center in Leitchfield sometime late Sunday evening. Kentucky State Police in Elizabethtown were notified at 11:43 p.m. that Aubrey D. Russell had escaped.

Grayson County Jailer Joey Stanton stated Russell was breaking down boxes in a restricted custody area when he decided to walk away from the facility.

Russell was serving time for violating probation on charges connected with theft by unlawful taking in Russell was arrested as he walked along Hwy. 54 and returned to the jail.
