HARTFORD -- At halftime at Ohio County last Friday evening, the Lady Cougars trailed the Lady Eagles by two, 13-11. The Lady Cougars wound up losing the game 52-15. That pretty much sums up the night.

In the first half, Ohio County (20-3) was unable to figure out the tough zone defense the Lady Cougars (5-14) put up. Surprisingly, Grayson County led 8-5 at the end of the first period.

In the second period, the lead changed hands three times before the Lady Eagles grabbed an 11-10 lead at the 4:46 mark. They never gave it up afterward.

It was all Ohio County in the third period as the Lady Eagles hit four 3-pointers and scored 26 straight points before Grayson County's Lee Ann Wood hit a jumper with 14 seconds left that made the score 39-13.

In the final period of play, the Lady Eagles hit two more 3-pointers and scored 13 straight before Molly Beeler hit a pair of free throws with 27 seconds left to break the run. Ohio County outscored the Lady Cougars 39-4 in the second half.

Beeler led Grayson County in scoring with six points.
