Angela Madison Skaggs, 26, and her 23-year-old husband, Bobby Joe Skaggs, both of Leitchfield, were indicted on one count of theft by failure to make required disposition of property valued over $300 and one count of falsely reporting an incident.
According to court records, the charges stem from the Skaggs' attempt to keep a couch and loveseat from Rentway without paying for it. Reportedly, the Skaggs' rented the furniture, but then stopped paying on it and when the business came to repossess it, they reported it stolen.
Angela Madison Skaggs failed to appear for court on Monday, Jan. 6, and a warrant was issued for her arrest. Bobby Joe Skaggs was in court and was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center under a full $5,000 cash bond.
Jessica Palmer, 22, of Leitchfield was also indicted for charges surrounding the stolen couch and loveseat.
Palmer was indicted for one count of receiving stolen property valued over $300. The charge stems from her being in possession of the furniture reported stolen by the Skaggs.
A warrant was also issued for Palmer's arrest and her bond was set at 20 percent of $5,000 cash.
Cuddie Holbrook, 44, of Paris, Ky. was indicted for one count of theft by deception over $300, a felony charge.
Court records state that the charge stems from Holbrook issuing a "worthless check" to Leitchfield Truck and Equipment for a flat-bed trailer.
A warrant was issued for Holbrook's arrest and his bond was set at $10,000 cash.
Brittany Noblett, 18, of Caneyville was indicted on one count of incest. Record state the indictment stems from October 2002 incident. A criminal summons was issued for Noblett to appear in Grayson Circuit Court.
Three people were indicted for flagrant non support of their minor children.
Eric D. Payton, 34, of Leitchfield was indicted on one count of flagrant non support. He is reportedly in arrearage of $7,377 for his three children.
Payton was also indicted on one count of being a persistent felony offender in the second degree. The court issued a warrant for Payton's arrest and his bond was set at 15 percent of $10,000 cash.
Alexander G. Farish, 32, of Lexington was indicted on one count of flagrant non support. He is reportedly in arrearage of $8,426 for one minor child.
Farish was also indicted for being a persistent felony offender in the second degree. A warrant was issued for Farish's arrest and his bond was set at 25 percent of $10,000 cash.
Juanita Smith, 31, of Leitchfield was indicted on one count of flagrant non support. Smith is reportedly in arrearage of $2,339 for one child.
Smith was arrested, but signed an unsecured $10,000 bond.
The Grayson county Grand Jury will meet again on Tuesday, Feb. 4 in the Grayson County Circuit Courtroom.
