Mildred Lavern Hayes, age 69, of Leitchfield died on Saturday, December 14, 2002 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
She was born on February 20, 1933 in Grayson County as the daughter of Fred and Ruby Burden Saltsman.
She was a Surgical Technician at the Grayson County Hospital and a member of the New Freedom Church.
She is survived by her husband, Norbet Hayes of Leitchfield; three daughters, Debbie Smith, Barbara Edwards, and Lisa Lacefield, all of Leitchfield; two sons, Danny and Chad Hayes, both of Leitchfield; a brother, Timothy Saltsman of Leitchfield; two sisters, Mabel Logsdon and Mary Tommie Ray, both of Leitchfield. Also surviving 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, December 17, 2002 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield.
Burial was in the New Freedom Church Cemetery.
