According to Deputy Coroner Ronald Hudson, 78-year old Willis Brown of 14369 Owensboro Road had a habit of going out to his body shop every morning.
"Sometimes he would put his head down on his desk. after he got his fire going and catch a nap and sometimes he would go out for breakfast," Hudson said.
This particular morning, Brown elected to catch a short nap that ended his life.
Hudson said a motorist, on their way to the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center, called in the fire but not until reaching the hospital.
The Falls of Rough and Caneyville Fire Departments responded to the scene of the blaze along with Detective Norman Chaffins of the Kentucky State Police.
Hudson said he pronounced Brown dead at the scene at around 8 a.m.
The body was sent to Louisville by Grayson County EMS for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
"I want to rule out robbery and foul play," Hudson said.
The fire was reported as possible arson.
An investigation is underway by Detective Chaffins, Hudson and an officer from the Fire Marshall's Office.
