GRAYSON COUNTY -- A deer ran into the path of a vehicle around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 15th and caused it to overturn.

The driver of the 1999 Ford Ranger pickup truck was not injured in the accident. Deputy D.R. Poteet Jr., of the Grayson County Sheriff's Department, reported that the vehicle, driven by James R. Collard, age 39, of Big Clifty, was traveling west on Ky. 54 eight miles west of Leitchfield, when a deer ran into his vehicle's path.

The deer became lodged under the truck and caused its steering to lock up. The truck veered into a ditch, overturned and finally came to rest back on its wheels. The deer was lodged in the wheel well and trapped under the vehicle.
