It was the last regional season game for the Grayson County season for the Lady Cougars Volleyball team. Senior night honored three seniors Amanda Fulkerson, Bobbie Jo Hudson, and Amanda Webb. These seniors were ready to play hard against the tough Daviess County Panthers.

The first minute of th game the Lady Cougars were 0-2 to the Panthers with Daviess County scoring in their first two rallies. Soon the score added up quickly as Grayson County Calls a time out when the Panthers had them down 8-0. After a quick pep talk and instruction from coaches Kelli Harris and Nancy Miles, Daviess County serves a hard ball into Cougar territory. Sophomore Lee Ann Wood drives for the ball with a great effort to save, but the Panthers score for a lead with 13-0. Finally with good team defense Grayson County scores with 1-13. Even though the Lady Cougars could not quite pull out ahead in the first half the team spirit the Cougars projected lead them into a jolting second half.

With a team huddle the Lady Cougars began the second half with major defense and great team effort. The Lady Panthers had already won two prior games against the Cougar's JR. Varsity, but the Varsity team did not let that break their team spirit. A collision with three Grayson County players helped the Panthers score their first point 1-2 with the Cougars in the lead. The score did not add up so quickly in this half as both teams were projecting awesome defense. With the score tied 4-4 , Daviess gets control of the ball after interference with the lights helps to land the ball on the Cougars side of the court.

Later in the game Senior Amanda Fulkerson makes a powerful serve with no save by the Panthers, this gives the Cougars another lead of 7-6. Tiffany Clemons gives another lead with 10-8 after Daviess County tries for the save. With all of the team effort it looked as if the Lady Cougars would come through with a determined victory, however the Panthers drove on to get to get the win 16-12 in the last match.
