Mae Smith, 83, of Upton died on Tuesday, September 10, 2002 at her residence in Upton.
She was born in Hart County.
She was a member of the Lucas Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn Smith; one son, David Smith; three daughters, Joyce Sanders, Barbara Butler and Aline Bell.
She is survived by five sons, Tom Smith of Upton, Paul Smith of Munfordville, Roger Smith of Upton, Gary Smith of Upton and Robert Smith of Upton; three daughters, Mary Logsdon of Clarkson, Betty Snyder of Clarkson and Beverly Staples of Upton; one sister, Stella Smallwood of Elizabethtown; thrity seven grandchildren, fifty one great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, September 12, 2002 at Lucas Grove Baptist Chruch with Rev. Raymond Craddock and Rev. Andy Weaver officiating with Manakee Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
Burial was in the Jaggers Cemetery in Cub Run, KY.
