Man dies after car falls from jack

GRAYSON COUNTY -- A Grayson County Man was pronounced dead after shortly after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 16th, 2002.

Danny K. Lucas, age 43, of 744 Coy Drane Road, was found in his garage after friends had stopped by to visit him. "Evidently Lucas had been working on the engine, or transmission of a vehicle and the jack slipped out from under it," stated Grayson County Deputy Coroner Ronald Hudson.

Hudson put the time of death at 7:30 p.m. Monday, July 15th. "He died of massive head injuries suffered when the vehicle came crashing down on him,"said Hudson.

No information on funeral services were available for Lucas as of press time Tuesday.
