"For the past 30 years, enthusiats of radio-controlled aircraft have gotten together at Rough River Dam State Resort Park in Falls of Rough for the popular Mint Julip Scale Meet," stated Jim Carroll, of the Kemtucky Department of Parks.
The Mint Julip Scale Meet is set for This weekend May 17th through the 19th.
Participants will compete in numerous events and a variety of classes. Open flying will take place throughout the day Friday, May 17th. Competitive flying will begin Saturday morning the 18th of May.
Rough River Dam State Resort Park is a co-sponsor of the anual event. Sponsoring the event, along with the park, is the Southern Indiana R/C Modelers.
Participants are charged a fee to enter various events, but, spectators get in free.
