"This was an abandoned methamphetamine lab. It was located near the Grayson, Ohio County line in a remote, rural area," stated narcotics detective Tony Willen, of the GCSO.
The lab contained ephedrine, ether, hundreds of empty blister pacs of ephedrine products, plastic tubing, aluminum foil (used to smoke the illegal drug) and an acid generator or bubbler.
The investigation is continuing, stated Detective Willen. He also added the evidence has been anaylized for fingerprints and other latent evidence. "The articles have been sent to the state lab for evaluation and arrests may be forthcoming in this case," added Willen.
