Methamphetamine charges

LEITCHFIELD -- The April meeting of the Grayson County Grand Jury was dominated by methamphetamine charges. "People need to understand the seriousness of this problem," stated court personnel. These people face from 10 to 20 years in prison for the manufacture of methamphetamine and from 20 years to life imprisonment if a firearm is found near the drug.

Melissa Beasley, dob- 10-17-1975, of Leitchfield, was indicted for manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance first degree (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and wanton endangerment first degree. The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at Beasley's residence on Sadler Road where an eight year old child was present while methamphetamine was being made.

Jerry Potts, dob-2-15-1963, of Caneyville, was indicted on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine enhanced by the possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia enhanced by the possession of a firearm, and possession of marijuana also enhanced by the possession of a firearm. He remains lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center.

Robert Lee Langston, dob- 3-20-1978, of Clarkson, was indicted on two counts of burglary third degree, five counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, and for being a persistenmt felony offender.

Richard Earl Hazlewood, dob- 10-31-1982, of Clarkson, was indicted on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine. He is out on a $25,000 bond secured by 20% or $5,000 cash.

Amanda Milliner, dob- 10-10-1974, of Clarkson, was indicted on charges of promoting contraband at the Grayson County Detention Center, first degree. The charges stem from Milliner allegedly bringing marijuana into the jail.

Perry Hack, dob- 10-25-1972, of Leitchfield, was indicted on charges of promoting contraband first degree and for being a persistent felony offender first degree. He is also alleged to have smuggeled marijuana into the Grayson County Detention Center.

Jonathan Parks, dob- 10-16-1975, was indicted on charges of promoting contraband first degree and persistent felony offender second degree. He is also charged with smuggling marijuana into the Grayson County Detention Center.

In a separate indictment Parks was also indicted for manufacturing methamphetamine and anhydrous ammonia not in the proper container for the purpose of manufacturing methamphetamine.

Anthony Dailey, dob- 10-29-1966, of Louisville, was indicted on charges of theft by unlawful taking (Automobile). His bond was set at $10,000, 50% cash.

Terry Matt Morris, dob- 3-12-1982, of Clarkson, was indicted on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of anhydrous ammonia not in peoper container for the purpose of manufacturing methamphetamine, escape second degree and criminal mischief first degree. He remains in custody with bond set at $25,000 full cash.

Richard Scott Merrifield, dob- 6-14-1975, of Big Clifty, was indicted on numerous meth-related charges. Manufacturing methamphetamine enhanced by the possession of a ifirearm, anhydrous ammonia not in proper container for the purpose of manufacturing methamphetamine enhanced by the possession of a firearm, trafficking in a controlled substance frist degree (meth) enhanced by the possession of a firarm, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana, both enhanced by the possession of a firearm. Greg Gibson, dob- 5-27-1960, of Clarkson, was indicted on charges of criminal mischief first degree. His bond is set at $10,000 secured by 20% cash.

Doug Blakeman, dob- 9-16-1980, was indicted on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, anhydrous ammonia not in proper container for the purpose of manufacturing methamphetamine, escape second degree, criminal mischief second degree. His bond was set at $25,000. He is now a fugitive with an active arrest warrant for these charges.

James E. Lacy, dob- 4/28/1971, of Munfordville, was indicted on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine enhanced by the possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia enhanced by the possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed deadly weapon. His bond is set at $25,000 secured by 25% cash.

James E. Wooden, dob- 11-19-1967, pf Hodgenville, was indicted on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine enhanced by the possession of a firearm, possession of drug paraphernalia enhanced by the possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Carol Lee Preston, dob- 3-8-1945, of Louisville, was indicted on charges of unlawful access to a computer first degree and two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card. She is free on a $10,000 unsecured bond.

Dennis Rice, dob- 12-24-1953, of Hawesville, was indicted on charges of possession of methamphetamine, fleeing or evading police first degree, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or other controlled substances. An arrest warrant was issued for him.
