GCSO makes more methamphetamine

LEITCHFIELD -- Deputy Kevin Smith, of the Grayson County Sheriff's Department, reports that he made three arrests as the result of a routine traffic stop Friday, March 22, 2002.

He reportedly stopped the vehicle for speeding. After the vehicle stopped Smith spotted a package of methamphetamine inside it.

Three individuals were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine; a Class D felony.

Arrested were Jessica M. Parks, age 23, of Caneyville, Samuel Chad Clemons, age 29, of Caneyville, and Jason T. Frank, age 24, of Clarkson. Clemons was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

The three were lodged in the Grayson County detention Center. Bond was unknown at press time.

The GCSO also discovered an active methamphetamine lab during the week. A lab was found in the Layman / Young Cemetery on Young-Layman Road, near the Pine Knob Community. The items were confiscated and the incident is under investigation.
