While in route to execute the search warrant Officer Shawn Lee, of the Clarkson Police Department, spotted two of the individuals listed on the search warrant. These subjects were passengers in a vehicle driven by Jonathan Parks. Officer Lee followed the vehicle to the intersection of Hwy. 88 and Hwy. 226 where a traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle.
Officer Lee, along with Detective Tony Willen and Special Deputy Mike Honeycutt approached the vehicle and noticed a five gallon tank in the back floor board of the vehicle. All three subjects were detained and a search of the vehicle was conducted.
Deputy Jeff King stayed with the vehicle while Officer Shawn Lee, Det. Tony Willen, Special Deputy Mike Honeycutt, Sgt. Sonnie Poteet, and Michael Colvin went to 408 Peonia Road to execute the search warrant on the residence.
The three prisoners were being detained in the cage of the two cruisers while the search warrant was executed. Terry Matt Morris and Doug Blakeman kicked out the door window on both cars and escaped on foot while still being handcuffed.
After a detailed search of the area, neither subject could be located. The investigation is ongoing. Parks is lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center, and arrest warrants for Morris and Blakeman have been issued.
Morris is a white male, about 5'11" with brown hair and blue eyes, weighing about 185 lbs. Blakeman is a white male about 5'10" with brown hair and green eyes.
