GRAYSON COUNTY -- Grayson County Sheriff Joe Brad Hudson and GCSO Detective Tony Willen have announced that 12 burglaries both in the County and in Leitchfield have been solved.

The cases were solved through a joint investigation performed by the GCSO and LPD, said Sheriff Hudson. "We joined forces with the Leitchfield Police Department and through an ongoing investigation several arrests have been made, along with the recovery of many of the stolen items and some of the stolen cash from the thefts," said Detective Willen.

He said that since the first of August last year 12 burglaries had occurred. Those victimized were; Tar Hill Store - over $2,800 in thefts and damage, Robbie's Quick Stop - hit twice for over $6,000 in damages and thefts, Marshall Moutardier's Muffler Shop was hit for an undetermined amount of cash and damages, Captain Ds suffered a loss of $1,300 in damages and missing cash, Stevenson's Auto and Wrecker Service, Elite Hair Salon, and Future Designs were also hit. The Rough River State Park Golf Pro Shop was hit and over three dozen golf clubs were stolen. The Ralph Bostik residence was also victimized by the thieves.

Sheriff Hudson said that anonymous tips and leads followed through the investigation led to the arrests made by the GCSO and the LPD.

"Due to the nature of a ongoing investigation, the names of the suspects are being withheld until the conclusion of the investigation," stated Detective Willen.

He also added that the suspects have been charged, but many more charges may be forthcoming in the near future.
