The first item of business discussed by the court was the old hospital building on East Market and Hyser Drive. "It needs a name," said Grayson County Judge Executive Gary Logsdon. "Its only name is "The old hospital building," he added. Logsdon recommended that the building take on the name of the old hospital, Grayson County War Memorial Building. The magistrates agreed and moved to make the name change a formal decision. The vote was unanimous its name is now the Grayson County War Memorial Building instead of the old hospital.
The court then passed a resolution providing for the purchase of three copiers and computer hardware and software for various offices in county government. It wads stated that the total cost of the purchases would be $22,000; $15,460 for the copiers and $6,540 for the computer equipment.
The funds would be obtained through KACO and would cost the county $450 a month for four years. Magistrates then moved to cut a $6,540 check immediately for the purchase of the computers.
The reason for the purchases was the lack of a service contract and parts for the copiers and the decline of the computers in the offices.
