She was born on January 4, 1917, in Butler County, the daughter of Ulysses and Octavia Embry Byers.
She is survived by one daughter, Beronica Johnson and her husband Mitchell, of Mesa, Az., three sisters and two brothers, Captola Bard, Justine Ernspiker, Machilda Gary, Raymond Byers and Laymon Byers, all of Louisville, two grandchildren, Austin Johnson and Michelle Amalong of Phoenix, Az., and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carmon and one daughter, Linda Sue.
Funeral services were held at Tuesday, February 15, 2010, at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville, with Bro. Dale Barnes officiating. Burial was in the Embry Cemetery.
