Dear Editor:

The Grayson County Alliance would like to express our thanks to everyone in the community who participated in the recent Harvest of the Heart food drive. The Alliance Food Pantry appreciates the generous contribution of over 7,000 pounds of food and is honored to receive the donation.

There are so many people, agencies, and groups who participated that it would be impossible to thank everyone; however, there are some who deserve special recognition for their unfailing efforts in helping the Alliance to help our neighbors. The Farm Services Agency, US Rural Development, and Natural Resource Conversation Service are the agencies that make the drive possible by coordinating the entire event. Core Mark plays a huge role in providing the bins that are placed at various locations.

The Alliance is now serving 930 families a month and we are seeing an increase in the number served each month. Without these donations our non-profit organization could not adequately meet the many and increasing demands and needs of our county.

Again on behalf of the Alliance, thank you for the thoughtful and generous contribution to our organization. If you have any questions or suggestions regarding the Alliance, please call us at 270-259-4000.

Sincerely,

Donna F. Wilson, Director

Food Pantry
