Man arrested after fleeing police

A Louisville man was arrested after attempting to flee from Leitchfield police officers on Sunday, July 27.On Sunday afternoon, the Leitchfield Police Department received a call about a possibly intoxicated individual causing a disturbance at Countryside Inn, located on 315 Commerce Dr. in Leitchfield.LPD Detective Kevin Smith said that, upon arriving on scene, officers made contact with Christopher Foley, 35, of Louisville.Upon initial contact, Foley attempted to flee on foot from officers. After Foley ignored officers’ commands, officers deployed a taser on him, Smith said.
