County awards acreage to GC Alliance

The Grayson County Fiscal Court has made a decision to award approximately two acres of land to the non-profit community service organization, the Grayson County Alliance.The Alliance approached the court in May about their need for land on which to build a permanent, dedicated structure to house the organization’s food pantry and furniture program as well as a hub from which to carry out their other community service efforts.The Alliance believes that having this acreage will allow them to improve the services they currently offer, and will “greatly increase their ability” to win grants in the future, which will go directly into helping the community.
