Teen may be charged after fleeing from wreck

Charges may be filed against an Leitchfield teenager who fled from the scene of an what appeared to be a drunk-driving accident on Friday night.At approximately 10:30 p.m. on August 29, a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee being driven by 18-year-old Dylan L. Cary hit a tree alongside Owensboro Road, seven miles outside of Leitchfield.According to the accident report filed by responding officer Deputy Jarrod Mudd, with the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, a witness at the scene saw 20-year-old passenger Jacob Holderman, of Leitchfield, exit the wrecked Jeep. The witness reported to Mudd that he thought the passenger “had possibly been drinking alcohol” and “tried to get him to sit down.”

 

Board sets school tax rate
