It’s time again for the Grayson County Rotary Club’s annual Radio Auction fundraiser.
The auction, which is the club’s largest fundraiser of the year, features a number of items donated by community members and local businesses. Some of the big-ticket items this year include a five day Panama Beach vacation and household appliances like a new dryer and dishwasher, according to Rotary President Matt Wiseman.
The auction, which is manned by club volunteers, will take place Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Listeners can tune in to K105 to listen or can stop in to see the action live in the basement of Wilson & Muir Bank.
All funds raised go toward the club’s community programs such as scholarships, interest-free student loans and giving toward community needs like the food pantry, Wiseman said.
“We encourage people to listen and to come by,” President-Elect Bill Oldham said, “It’s always a lot of fun.”
