A number of area businesses and organizations contributed to the Senior Social for the Grayson County High School class of 2013 on Tuesday, March 5.
Students listened to a variety of guest speakers with backgrounds in education, law enforcement, church, government and others. They were also treated to goody bags filled with donated prizes from 42 area businesses or groups.
The seniors had the opportunity to try out a “Texting and Driving Simulator” brought in by the Kentucky Office of Highway Safety, and performed karaoke and enjoyed a magic show while socializing and having lunch.
A $500 scholarship was also given to one lucky student from the Grayson County Detention Center, which hosts the event each year.
