Does your dog get more compliments than you do? Does your cat take center stage in family photos? Are your chickens the most charming in the county?
There’s still time to put Fido’s and Fluffy’s modeling skills — and your skill with a camera — to the test in the Grayson County News-Gazette’s annual Cutest Pets Contest.
Grab those snapshots of your animal companions and upload them in the contest section of our website, gcnewsgazette.com. Simply click on the contest logo and follow the directions.
While entries will be accepted through Saturday, Sept. 29, voting will start Monday, Sept. 17, and continue through Sunday, Sept. 30. As of Friday morning, Sept. 14, there were 11 entries ranging from puppies to poultry.
People can submit multiple entries, but can only submit photos of pets they own. Third party submissions will not be accepted. You must be 18 years of age or older at time of entry to be eligible to submit photos or to vote in the contest. Each user account must include a validated email address. Accounts with addresses associated with temporary or disposable email services may be subject to removal.
Prizes will be awarded to Grayson County winners thanks to the generosity of local merchant A Shaggy Dog Pet Grooming, who is the contest’s title sponsor this year.
Winners will be notified by email. If a winner is unreachable after seven days, or if that winner is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected.
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
