Michael E. Alcorn, 48, of Orchard Street in Leitchfield, was recently indicted in Grayson County Circuit Court on 57 counts of distribution of a matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor and one charge of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.
Alcorn was originally charged with 20 counts of distribution of child pornography after Kentucky State Police searched his home on January 30. Since that time, he has been charged with an additional 37 counts of the crime.
Each incidence of this crime is alleged to have occurred between January 23 and 29, 2013, with the charge of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor allegedly occurring on January 30.
Alcorn is currently being held at the Grayson County Detention Center on a $50,000 cash bond, which was increased from the $25,000 bond originally set for him.
Due to the offensive nature of his alleged crimes, he is not permitted to have any contact or communication with anyone under 18 years of age and must stay at least 500 feet away from any minor. He is not allowed to have access to a computer or any other electronic device capable of accessing the internet or to possess any materials depicting images of a minor.
Seven other men and two women were also indicted on various charges:
- Nickolaus M. Thompson, 29, of Briarwood Lane in Leitchfield, was indicted on two counts of burglary in the third degree, two counts of unlawful taking or disposition of property valued at $500 or more, theft by unlawful taking or disposition of property valued over $10,000, two counts of criminal mischief in the third degree, fleeing or evading police in the first degree in a motor vehicle, and being a persistent felony offender in the first degree.
Court documents accuse Thompson of committing these offenses between October 26, 2012 and January 2, 2013 when he purportedly burglarized a building belonging to Barrett’s Marathon and a building belonging to JC’s Cigarette Outlet.
He is accused of taking cigarettes from both the Marathon and Cigarette Outlet locations. Additionally, the charges state that he took cash from the Marathon building and took a truck with tools belonging to Watkins Construction of Leitchfield, which was valued at more than $10,000.
During the process, he is accused of having “defaced, destroyed, or damaged the property” of both JC’s Cigarette Outlet and Barrett’s Marathon.
On January 2, he allegedly attempted to elude a police officer and disobeyed the officer’s direction to stop his motor vehicle, creating a risk of serious injury or death to persons or property.
The Commonwealth recommended Thompson’s bond be set at $15,000 cash.
- Joshua B. Long, 24, of Brandenburg Road in Leitchfield, was indicted on two counts of assault in the third degree of a police officer, two counts of resisting arrest, and one count of criminal mischief in the second degree.
Each of the charges stem from a January 18 incident during which Long is accused of causing or attempting to cause physical injury to Officer Tim Moutardier, of the Leitchfield Police Department, and Deputy Brian Hammons, of the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office.
Long is accused of refusing to comply with officers trying to arrest him and also of defacing, destroying or damaging the property of an officer, causing a loss of $500 or more.
Long’s bond was set at $10,000 cash.
- Danny Calhoun, 56, of Whipperwill Drive in Clarkson, was indicted on charges of possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, methamphetamine; possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, tramadol; possession of marijuana; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to court documents, Calhoun’s charges stem from a January 2 incident during which he is accused of having in his possession each of the three drugs as well as items considered to be drug-related paraphernalia.
Calhoun’s bond was set at $5,000 cash.
- Michael D. Hunt, 33, of Sequoia Drive in Leitchfield, and Billie J. Horn, 34, of Lilac Road in Leitchfield, were each indicted on charges of theft by the unlawful taking or disposition of property valued at $500 or more and being a persistent felony offender in the first degree.
The pair’s charges stem from a January 5 incident during which they are accused of taking metal belonging to Xtreme Fabrication.
The Commonwealth recommended that bond be set at $10,000 cash for both Horn and and Hunt.
- Charles Cole, Jr., 40, was indicted for promoting contraband in the first degree.
Court documents allege that Cole illegally brought a cell phone into the Grayson County Detention Center on January 23.
Cole is currently serving time as a federal inmate.
- Jeremy Adam Parks, 37, of Cornhill Road in Caneyville, was indicted on two counts of flagrant non-support. He is accused of having persistently failed to provide child support for three minor children, ages 17, 13 and 12.
According to the indictment, Parks is accused of owing just under $8,905 in back child support as of January 31. His bond was set at $10,000, 80 percent of which must be cash and is non-refundable to the extent of child support owed.
- Amanda N. Fulkerson, 25, of Layman Drive in Leitchfield, was indicted for flagrant non-support. Fulkerson is accused of having persistently failed to provide child support for one minor child, age 6. According to the indictment, she is accused of owing just under $2,950 in back child support as of January 31.
Fulkerson’s bond was set at $10,000. Thirty percent of her bond must be paid in cash, which is non-refundable up to the amount of child support owed.
- Robert William Sheffield, 35, of Goff Drive in Leitchfield, was indicted for flagrant non-support and is accused of having persistently failed to provide child support for one minor child, age 13. Sheffield is accused of owing $1,775 in back child support as of January 31.
His bond was set at $10,000. Twenty percent of bond must be paid in cash, which is non-refundable up to the amount of child support owed.
