Local entrepreneurs Josh Rudnick and Jonathan Brown recently celebrated the expansion of their company, Bluegrass Live Operators, into a new office building in Southgate Mall.

Founded in 2010 by Rudnick, CEO, and Brown, COO, Bluegrass Live Operators (BLO) provides over-the-phone customer service, technical support, and operator services for a number of Fortune 500 companies.

Rudnick said he and Brown went into customer service because their previous business, VapeShak, prevented them from hiring as many employees as they wanted.

“We wanted to be able to help people,” Rudnick said. “We owned VapeShak, and we didn’t like the fact that we couldn’t hire many people. I researched and discovered that through customer service, I could.”

“Our agents work from home and set their own hours based on thirty-minute increments,” Rudnick said. “It’s a good job for people who can work only from home or part-time, such as college students and stay-at-home moms.”

Rudnick said that BLO has since hired more than 240 agents from across the country which led the company to expand into its new office space.

“We started running out of space at home to effectively manage our work-at-home agents,” Rudnick said. “The new office keeps us on a stricter schedule. It’s been a lot more effective for business.”

BLO is one of three businesses owned and operated by Rudnick and Brown. They also own SiteTroopers, which builds websites for customers, and CPU Troopers, which repairs computers.

Rudnick said BLO is currently seeking new employees and encourages prospective employees to visit the company’s website at www.bluegrassops.com.

“We’re always hiring, and we’ve been hiring since 2010,” he said.
