Mae Bernadine Jeffries, 74, of Big Clifty, passed away Thursday, January 24, 2013 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center. in Leitchfield.

She was born on March 29, 1938 in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Willie and Edith (Miller) Howard. She enjoyed walking and loved to fish and swim.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Hawkins, of Big Clifty; a son, Charles Edward Jeffries, of Clarkson; three sisters, Norma Jeffries, Ramona Howard and Deanna Skees, all of Big Clifty; three brothers, Wayne and William Vance Howard, both of Big Clifty, and Edward Howard, of Vine Grove; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Daisy Wilkenson, a brother, Huel Howard, and a sister, Hazel Howard.

Funeral services were held Sunday, January 27, 2013, at the Dermitt Funeral Home, in Leitchfield. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove cemetery.
