Marvin Wayne Cook, age 45, of Caneyville, Ky., passed away Sunday, June 7, 2009 at his home.

He was born September 04, 1963, in Leitchfield, the son of Floyd and Bessie Oller Cook. He was a farm manager for Otis Bryant and Son, and was a member of the Caneyville Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Payton Cook; four sons, Samuel Jacob, Perry Dayne, Michael Wayne (Fawn) Cook, and Adam Layman, all of Caneyville; two daughters, Sarah Logsdon (James) of Clarkson, Ky. and Mary Ann Layman of Caneyville; his parents, Floyd and Bessie Cook of Caneyville; two brothers, Tony Ray (Dee Dee) and Rick Lee (Linda) Cook, both of Caneyville; his grandchildren, Damien and Brooklynn Cook and Leeland Scott Logsdon; his nieces and nephews, Alicia, Emelene, Amanda, Anthony, Bud and Tylor Cook.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at the Dermitt Funeral Home, in Leitchfield, with Bro. Phillip Langdon officiating.

Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetry.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00-9:00 p.m. Monday, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
