A new utilities superintendent was announced by the Leitchfield Utilities Commission following the regular meeting, Thursday, June 18.

Kevin W. Pharis has been named to succeed Eddie Miller as Utilities Superintendent of the Leitchfield Utilities System.

Pharis is currently maintenance foreman for the utilities system.

He has held this position since 2004. Prior to that, he served as a utility commissioner since March 1989 and as chairman of the commission from April 1998 through March 2004.
