The annual community-wide Memorial Day Ceremony will be held Saturday, May 26 at 10 am, at The Centre on Main. County veterans who lost their lives during service to our country will be honored as family members and friends carry signs bearing their names from the Leitchfield Fire House on South Main Street to The Centre.
The ceremony will feature guest speaker, Cleo C. Hogan Jr., Major USA (Retired), a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War who also served in the United Nations Command in Seoul, Korea. Hogan speaks frequently to veterans and other audiences across the country.
After the ceremony a meal for all will be served at The Centre along with music by Kentucky Sound. Line up for families and friends will begin at 9 am at the Leitchfield Fire Department.
