A two-vehicle accident sent a Clarkson man to a Hardin County hospital while two Louisville residents were airlifted to a Louisville hospital late Monday afternoon.

According to a report from the Kentucky State Police, the injury accident happened September 28 around 5:19 p.m. at the intersection of US 62 and KY 84 in Hardin County.

A 2006 Ford Fusion, driven by Richard A. Ashby, 46 of Louisville, was traveling west on KY84 and as Ashby approached the intersection of KY84 he slowed the vehicle but did not stop the vehicle completely, reported troopers.

The Ford traveled into the path of an eastbound 1993 Dodge Dakota, driven by Matthew Hayes, 29, of Clarkson.

Both Ashby and a front seat passenger, Jan Glisson 39, of Louisville suffered serious injuries and were flown to University of Louisville Hospital by Air Methods Air Ambulance.

A second passenger in the Fusion, Mandy Ashby, 21 of Shepherdsville suffered minor injuries and was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital by Hardin County EMS and Hayes was transported by privates means to the hospital for minor injuries.
