The Grayson County Sheriff Office shut down two more methamphetamine labs this week.

On Friday, August 21, Grayson County Sheriff Rick Clemons received a report on a possible meth lab from the Probation and Parole office and was asked to investigate the tip.

When the deputies arrived at the scene, 6994 Love Lee Road Welch Creek, they noticed paraphernalia in plain view and obtained a search warrant.

“Once we were able to access the house we found three people inside the home,” said Grayson County Sheriff Detective Terry Blanton. “Natalie Logsdon, Jessica Hendricks and William Downs were all arrested at the residence.”

Deputies found the ingredients and material to manufacture methamphetamine, including some of the finished meth product.

Grayson County Sheriff’s Department was assisted in the investigation by the Kentucky State Police and the Butler County Sheriff’s Department. The Kentucky State Police DESI Unit was in charge of the cleaned up the meth lab

Logsdon and Hendricks were both charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine precursor. Downs was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.

The second meth lab removed from the streets of Grayson County was on Monday, August 24.

Acting on a tip, Clemons and Blanton arrived at the old hotel in Caneyville and found a boxed meth lab in an old van.

“Once we received permission from the owners of the van we looked inside and found a plastic tot that contained what is called a boxed meth lab,” said Blanton. “There were all the ingredients to manufacture the meth there but it was not actually cooking.”

The van was parked behind the old hotel which are now apartments, reported Blanton.

No arrests have been made in connection with this lab but Blanton reported the investigation is ongoing and he does expect charges to be filed.

Anyone with any information on any illegal drug use or the manufacturing of illegal drugs is asked to report it to the Grayson County Sheriff’s Department at (270) 200-2222. All tips may remain anonymous.
