She was a native of Mobile, Alabama.
She is survived by her husband, Donald W. Farar of Clarkson; three daughters, Wendy Farar and Lee Marie Farar Prater, both of Lexington, Ky., and Anna Mae Farar Nelson of El Paso, Texas; one brother, Ronald Cardwell of Saverna Park, Maryland; one sister, Denise Sweeney of Mobile; and one grandson, Braxton Cole Farar.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Agatha Presley Cardwell; and one brother, Brandt Cardwell.
Cremation was chosen.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown, Ky., is in charge of the arrangements.
