Another active meth lab has been discovered in Grayson County, this time in Leitchfield, with officers arresting four people in the case.

Leitchfield Police Detective Gary Troutman explained that Leslie Karnes, 28, Leitchfield, Sherry Clark, 31, Leitchfield, Crystal Jones, 32, Leitchfield and Thomas Roof, 37, Leitchfield were arrested on November 2, for possession of meth-first degree.

The department had received an anonymous tip of a possible meth lab inside an apartment on Sequoia Drive. Upon further investigation an active meth lab was discovered, along with four adults and two children inside the home.

The children, who are four and five years old, were released into custody of other family members.

According to Troutman, Kentucky State Police Trooper Kevin Henderson was notified of the discovery and assisted in the investigation and cleanup.

LPD officers who also assisted with this case were Captain David Riley, officer Brandon Cook and officer Braxton Allen.

Anyone who notices something suspicious in their neighborhood, several people coming and going from a residence or an odor around a home, is urged to call LPD by phone at 270-259-3850. All calls will remain anonymous.
