Patty Taylor, 55, of Caneyville, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012 at the Norton Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

She was born on June 12, 1957, in Grayson County, the daughter of Avery Sr., and Cora Wilson Flener. She was a member of Wilson Home Baptist Church and Caneyville Eastern Star.

Patty was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She worked at Trim Masters as a group leader. After it closed she went to college to pursue her dream of a degree in accounting. Patty made the Dean’s List several times. She was so proud of herself, as was her family. Patty was an inspiration and will be missed by everyone.

She is survived by her husband Philip Taylor; two sons, Kevin Taylor (Emily), and Brent Taylor; one daughter, Sarah Taylor; her mother, Cora Cardwell; three grandsons, Eli, Evan and Easton Taylor; and two brothers, Avery (Carla), and Owen Flener, all of Caneyville.

She was preceded in death by her father, Avery Flener Sr.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. Edward Cockriel and Bro. William Scott will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville Tuesday after 3 pm and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
