Mary Maxine Hinton, age 93 of Leitchfield, died Saturday, August 11, 2012, at her residence.

She was born in Breckinridge County on August 20, 1918, the daughter of the late Con and Mary Storms Mattingly. Mrs. Hinton was a homemaker who enjoyed making rosaries, gardening, cooking, bird watching, and crafts, but especially enjoyed being with her family. She was a very active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.

Preceding her in death were her husband Marvin, daughter Ann, granddaughter Gloria, sons-in-law Roger and Adrian, brothers and sisters. Joe, Tommy, Agnita and Isabelle.

Mrs. Hinton is survived by three daughters, Mary Agnes Pierce of Leitchfield, Marie Akers (Dennis), of Eastview, and Anita Durbin, of Flaherty; nine grandchildren, Angie, Keith, Kevin, Melanie, Michael, Carolyn, Mary, Sarah and Janie, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at 10 a.m. with Fr. Randy Howard officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Monday, August 13, 2012 from 3:30 - 8 p.m. and after 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Memorial contributions are requested in the form of Masses.
