Police are searching for a Hardin County Detention Center inmate who walked away on Friday, March 15.

20-year-old Ryan C. Jones was on work release duty at Saunders Springs Preserve in Radcliff on Friday afternoon when he simply walked away, according to a press release from Kentucky State Police.

Jones, who is serving time for fleeing or evading police in the first degree and wanton endangerment in the first degree, is described as being a while male, five feet and eight inches tall, approximately two hundred pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair.

The KSP release said that he may be trying to get back to his hometown of Dayton, but could also choose to remain in the Radcliff area, as he has connections there as well.

Trooper Josh Cummings is investigating.

Anyone with information on Jones’ whereabouts is encouraged to call KSP Post 4 at 270-766-5078 or 1-800-222-5555. Callers may remain anonymous.
