Irene McCrady, 75, of Caneyville, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Spring View Health & Rehab Center in Leitchfield.
She was born on April 6, 1937 in Germany, the daughter of Carl and Frederike Reifkohl. She was a cook and a member of Wilson United Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter Regina Wolz (Joseph Wayne), of Louisville; five sons, James “Jimbo” (Pam), of Leitchfield, Ronald “Ronnie” and Kenneth (Gail), both of Caneyville, Dennis (Penny), of Brownsville, and Shannon (Stacy), of Morgantown; 10 grandchildren, Joseph, Jason and Justin Wolz and Joshua McCrady (Sara), all of Louisville, Braxton, Weston and Hannah McCrady, all of Caneyville, Katherine McCrady, of Brownsville, and James and Isabella McCrady, both of Morgantown; two step-grandchildren, Aaron and Cristina Majors, of Brownsville, and three great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Jakob Wolz, and Aiden McCrady, all of Louisville.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, James S. McCrady.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 18, 2012, at the Pleasant Union Baptist Church (Pleasant Union). Bro. Cecil Williams, Bro. Howard Decker and Bro. Hayward Wilkerson will be officiating. Burial will be in the Wilson Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt-Joyce Funeral Home in Caneyville after 5 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday. Saturday, they may call at the Wilson Union Baptist Church (Pleasant Union) after 9 a.m. until time of service.
