He was born January 22, 1937 in Leitchfield, the son of Jack and Alma Watson-Jewell.
Survivors include: his wife, Doris Jewell, of Leitchfield; three sons, Harlan Jewell, Jr. and William Jeff Jewell (Regina), both of Clarkson, and Calvin Mark Jewell (Tina), of Leitchfield; two daughters, Judy Ash (Kenneth), of Clarkson, and Brenda Sims (Greg), of Peonia; three brothers, Charles Jewell, of Meade County, Richard and Edward Jewell, both of Louisville; two sisters, Mary Stevenson, of Leitchfield, and Gertrude Coates, of Millwood; 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Carl and Allen, and four sisters, Alice, Elizabeth, Nancy and Leoda.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel, in Leitchfield with Sis. Levonda Large officiating. Burial will be in the Lyle Cemetery.
