She was born July 26, 1912 in Butler County, Ky., the daughter of Jerome Sr. and Mae Tronie Ingram Penner. She was a housewife, a member of the Caneyville Christian Church, and a 50-year member of the Caneyville Eastern Star #27.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Berg; one daughter, Dolores Massey; and five brothers.
She is survived by one sister, Beulah Simpson of Leitchfield; two grandchildren, Stacey (husband Dathan) Tarrence of Bowling Green, Ky. and Shawn (wife Sabrina) Massey of Gallatin, Tenn.; and four great-grandchildren, Ryan and Dylan Tarrence, and Sam and Jax Massey.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 7, 2005 at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville with Rev. David Brown officiating.
Burial was in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.
