Herbert H. Hunt, age 85, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Norton’s Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on June 14, 1928 in Morgantown, KY, the son of the late Theodore Crenshaw and Nevada Smith Hunt.

He was retired from General Electric, and sang and enjoyed Southern Gospel. He was a member of the New Harvest Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Allen Hunt, two sons, Jonathon Hunt (Mary) of Dothan, Alabama and Michael Hunt (Audry) of Clarksville, Indiana, two step-daughters, Sherry Meredith of Caneyville and Sheila Dotson of Caneyville, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin and Albert Hunt.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2013 at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Arland Benningfield will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday and from 12 noon Monday until time of services.

Virginia Artman Holland, age 86 of Leitchfield passed away Friday, June 14, 2013 at her residence. She was born November 8, 1926 in White Mills, KY the daughter of Ernest & Iva Pence Artman. She was a member of the Church of Christ and Leitchfield Women’s Club and was a 4-H Agent at the University of Kentucky.

 
She is survived by two daughters, Robin Down Peterson of Lexington and Jill Holland of Leitchfield, two sons, Tommy Holland of Atlanta, Ga & Jack Holland of Leitchfield, grandchildren, Samantha Butler, Ashley Kelly and Thomas Holland and one great grandchild, Logan Kelley.
 
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Holland, and one sister, Clara McDowell.
 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 16, 2013 at the Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield with Bro. David Downs & Bro. Chester Shartzer officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held after 4:00 p.m., on Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Sunday at the funeral home.

Rena Mae Decker Minton, age 74, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

She was born on November 24, 1938 in Peonia, KY, the daughter of the late William and Millie Hayes Decker.

She was a retired activity director at Grayson Manor. She was a member of the Leitchfield Church of God.

She is survived by one daughter, Tracy Wilson of Leitchfield, two sons, Kevin Minton (Ramona) of Leitchfield and Keith Minton of Paris, KY, five grandchildren, Jennifer Basham, Brandon Minton, April Wilson Krpata, Keitha Griffith and Aaron Wilson, four great-grandchildren, Bobby and Charlie Griffith, Jaiden Basham and Jaxon Cole Wilson, two brothers, Orin Kip and Delbert Decker.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Minton.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2013 at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Rick Daugherty will be officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday and from 9 a.m. Monday until time of services.
