Brittany Bird, Grayson County High School's all-time leading basketball scorer, was inducted into Brescia University's Sports Hall of Fame in ceremonies last weekend. For her career, Bird amassed a long list of school, conference and NAIA awards. She became the school's all-time leading scorer (1834 points), first in free throws made (623), assists (548), steals (449), three-pointers made (129) and career field goals made (541). Among her NAIA and conference achievements were the 2009 Association of Independents, Div. I Player of the Year, the 2011 KIAC Division II Player of the Year, and the 2011 KIAC Female Athlete of the Year.
