In honor of Kentucky’s public servants and Public Service Recognition Week, Oct. 5-11, students are invited to participate in the 2014 Public Service Recognition Poster Contest.

The theme of the week, “Making a difference, every day in every way,” should be expressed through the artwork. Entries will be judged in three categories.

· Ages 6-9

· Ages 10-13

· Ages 14-18

Winners receive a $100 award and an invitation to a special ceremony at the Capitol in October. Entries must be postmarked by Sept. 12. Winners will be posted on the Personnel Cabinet website on Sept. 22.

This contest is not restricted to public schools all children are eligible. This is a good project for any child, Sunday Schools classes, Home Schoolers, all children.
