On a cold, rainy night in February, seven members of the Leitchfield Lions Club, dressed in camouflage, struck out for Lewisport to capture Felix the Traveling Lion. At approximately 6:00 pm they arrived at the Clubhouse where Felix had last been spotted. With a gun, hats, and even a “Lion,” they entered the building. Needless to say the Lewisport members were surprised by our appearance, but we “got ‘er done!”

We enjoyed a delicious meal while we were there, enjoyed a presentation by Air E-Vac, and discussed Lions business. It is such great fun to visit the Lewisport Club. We also enjoyed the activities of their “Tail Twister” Mary Lautner.

Now Felix resides with the Leitchfield Club until another club comes and captures him from us.
This is just one of the many fun activities our Lions Club has during the year. If you are interested in visiting our club, becoming a member, or helping Lions in any way, visit us at the Golden Buffet every second and fourth Monday at 6:00 p.m. Visitors are always welcome, and members are expected.
