A car was removed from a pond on St. Anthony Road following a one-vehicle accident on Friday morning, October 18.
According to a report filed with the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, a 2001 Dodge Caravan operated by Joyce Peterson was travelling east when Peterson lost control of the vehicle and ran off of the roadway.
Peterson told Detective Jeff Kelsey that she attempted to correct, but overcorrected and the vehicle began to fishtail.
“This action caused the vehicle to leave the roadway and slide around and [come] to a rest in a pond,” Kelsey wrote.
No injuries were reported by Peterson or the two passengers in her minivan.
The vehicle, which was severely damaged, was removed from the water by Tanner’s Towing service.
