One individual was injured in a motorcycle versus car crash in Clarkson on Friday, Aug. 29.
At approximately 11:45 a.m. on Friday, the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office, Clarkson Volunteer Fire Department, and Grayson County Emergency Medical Services responded to a report of an injury accident in front of 206 Millerstown Road - the residence of witness Timothy Barton - in Clarkson.
According to a GCSO accident report, the motorcycle, a 2006 Honda VTX1300 driven and owned by Edwin Oldham, 60, of Clarkson, was travelling east on Millerstown Rd. when a 2004 Mercury Sable, driven and owned by Calvin Fulkerson, 85, of Clarkson, travelling west on Millerstown Rd., turned left into the Clarkson Drug Store parking lot.
Willen said Fulkerson did not see the motorcycle when turning left, and the motorcycle crashed into the right side of the Sable.
Oldham, who was wearing a helmet, received minor injuries as a result of the accident and was transported from the scene by GC EMS to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center for treatment, Willen said.
The motorcycle received minor damages as a result of the accident, and the Sable received moderate damages, according to the GCSO report.
