Two individuals were injured in a car crash on the Western Kentucky Parkway on Thursday, April 17.
At around 4:54 p.m. on Thursday, Grayson County Emergency Medical Services, the Leitchfield Fire Department, and the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a two-vehicle injury accident near the 100 mile marker of the parkway.
According to Grayson County Sheriff’s Deputy Jarrod Mudd, who investigated the accident, both a red Ford F150 and a white Cadillac were travelling eastbound on the parkway when the Ford rear-ended the Cadillac.
The two passengers of the Cadillac, Lorna Pierce and Susan Rock, both of Louisville, were transported from the scene to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries, Mudd said.
The driver of the Cadillac, Donald Pierce, of Louisville, was uninjured and reported to police he had the car on cruise control at the time of the accident.
The driver of the Ford, Michael Volk, of Louisville, was also uninjured and told police he wasn’t sure what led to the accident.
