Randy Pauley was announced as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Leitchfield Deposit Bank & Trust Company by the bank’s Board of Directors on Friday, December 20.
Pauley will fill the position of Terry Allgood following Allgood’s retirement effective Dec. 31, 2013.
“I’m looking forward to it,” Pauley said. “I’ve been in this business a long time, and this is the way I wanted to finish my career.”
Pauley has worked at LDB since 2001 and most recently served as the bank’s Senior Vice President and Senior Loan Officer.
Prior to joining LDB, Pauley served as Senior Vice President of Area Bank, of Owensboro, and as President of ABC Credit Corp, a subsidiary of Area Bank.
Pauley is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking.
Chairman of the Board Michael Bennett said of Pauley’s appointment, “We are pleased that we were able to fill this position from within the bank. With more than 35 years in the financial service industry, Randy’s level of expertise and his active involvement in the local community will help him continue the level of excellence to which our organization is accustomed.”
Pauley said his primary goal as President/CEO of LDB will be to continue the bank’s high-quality service.
“We’ve been a top-peer group bank for the last several years, and I want to continue that,” he said.
Pauley said he also wants to lead the bank to focus more on local business, increase its local presence, and “be a good community citizen and partner.”
Pauley and his wife, Mary Sue (Bryant), are members of Leitchfield First Baptist Church, where he has served on the Finance Team, Personnel Team, and as past Treasurer.
Pauley has also served as President of the Grayson County Chamber of Commerce, President of the Grayson County Rotary Club, and currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Leitchfield Tourism Commission.
Bennett said, “We are excited for Randy and wish him great success in his new position.”
