Stabbing leads to three arrests

A man was stabbed at a residence on South Clinton Street in Leitchfield on Friday, November 22.


The victim, Justin Nance, stated to the responding Leitchfield Police Department that what had started as a verbal altercation became physical.


During the altercation, Nance was stabbed with a knife.


A total of three individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with this incident.


The LPD and the Kentucky State Police located and arrested two of the perpetrators at a residence on Caraway Road following a foot pursuit with officers.


Another subject was located at Countryside Inn and taken into custody without incident.


Kevin L. Smith, 23, of Big Clifty, has been charged with Assault 2nd Degree and Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd Degree.


Emery D. Hillis, 23, of Millwood, has been charged with Fleeing or Evading Police 2nd Degree.


And Dustin T. Bond, 19, of Big Clifty, has been charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence.


This case is currently an active investigation and additional charges are pending.
